HANDSA NISU

Handsa Nisu on talinisust valmistatud destillaat, milles on säilinud toorainele omased lõhnad ja maitsed. Aroomilt intensiivne ja vürtsikas, kuhu sekkumas magusat hapukust koos krõbeda saiakoorikuga. Taamal intensiivistumas sarapuupähkli koor. Täidlases ja suudtäitvas maitses haakub võiroosilik pehmus õhkamapaneva vürtsikusega. Pikas järelmaitses põimuvad madli ja greibikoore nüansid.

Handsa Nisu on teraviljadestillaat, mida võib nimetada ka nisubrändiks, sest see on valmistatud ainult nisust.

Handsa Nisu on villitud destilleerimiskanguses 62,8%vol, kuid vaatamata kangusele on maitse pehme.

HANDSA BARREL AGED

Handsa Barrel Aged on küpsenud tammevaatides 5 aastat ja pudeldatud limiteeritud eriseeriana – kokku 547 pudelit.

Küpsemine Ameerika tammest vaadis on andnud meie Handsale kuldselt särava merevaigu tooni. Mitmekülgsele puuviljasele aroomipaketile on lisandunud soojad vanilje noodid ja magusad küpsetusvürtsid. Mitmekihilises maitsepaletis mänglevad magus karamellisus, hele ja lopsakas kuivatatud luuviljaline komponent, millele sekundeerimas tsitruselised. Pikalt keerutavas järelmaitses domineerimas teraviljale ja Handsale omane siidine kreemisus ja vürtsikas karakter. Jook hingab klaasis, avades järk-järgult oma kihte.

Handsa Barrel Aged pälvis parimad Eesti joogid 2023 konkursil vaadiga väärindatud jookide kategooria üldvõidu.

Miks Handsa Barrel Aged ei ole viski? Sest Handsa on valmistatud täisterarukkist, kuid viski tootmiseks peab kasutama linnaseid. Tänapäevase nimetuse järgi võib Handsat nimetada ka rukkibrändiks.

Handsa on kange alkohoolne jook, mida Eestimaal, eriti Kagu-Eestis on valmistatud läbi sajandite. Küll aga ei ole ajaloost võtta tõendeid, et Eestis oleks seda kohalikku jooki sihipäraselt tammevaadis laagerdatud. Tammevaadid olid vanasti kasutusel küll, aga seda ainult transpordi eesmärgil kui mõisa viinaköökidest oli vaja toodang linna kõrtsidesse või sootuks Riiga või Peterburgi toimetada.

Vaati läks Handsa destilleerimiskanguses 63,2%vol (vt Handsa Distillers’ Strength). Pudeldada otsustasime 44%vol kanguses, mis on sama meie viski Tamm&Rukis kangusega.

HANDSA KARULAUK

Kevadise karulaugumaitseline Handsa.

Karulaugu- ja küüslaugumugulad laagerduvad Handsas vähemalt kaks kuud. Valminud tõmmisega maitsestatakse seejärel Handsat, et laukude vürtsikust toetaks alkoholi tummisus.

Soovitame proovida Moe karulauguga Handsat puhtalt, eriti talvel, aga selle magus-soolane maitse toimib suurepäraselt ka näiteks Bloody Mary kokteilis.

Moe always uses 100% Estonian winter grain. Most of it is Sangaste rye, which is the world’s oldest variety of grain, supported and protected by the government of Estonia.
