Saxby Akvavit is made froma Estonian spirit, caraway seeds and seaweed. Part of the Akvavit is aged in oak barrels for at least 14 months. After the long wait, aged and fresh akvavit are blended. But is still is missing a final touch. That is Furcellaria lumbricalis seaweed. Dried seaweed is infused in akvavit and the result tastes like the sea itself. The seaweed infusion gives Saxby Akvavit it’s true character. The salty notes from the seaweed are perfectly paired by the sweet undertone of caraway and alcohol as well as the woody, caramellized and vanilla notes from the oak barrels making the taste rich and balanced. Saxby Akvavit is difficult to put into words, it has to be tasted!

Why LUMI?

LUMI means SNOW in Estonian as well as Finnish. Winter snow plays a crucial role in producing high-quality winter rye. Throughout the winter, rye sprouts rest beneath the snow cover, absorbing minerals from the soil, which ultimately shapes the unique character of the grain.

Lumi Vodka is made from Estonian-produced spirit and water sourced from the Pandivere water protection area, just like all our other vodkas. A simple recipe combined with premium local ingredients ensures a high-quality product.
